You can find the serial number on the bottom of the unit, when it is standing vertically. GameCube: DA10000000: You can find the serial number on the bottom of the unit. Nintendo 64: NUP10000000: You can find the serial number on the bottom of the unit. Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) UP10000000. It might be that the line is a degenerative issue present in the SNES 1 models I've used my modded SNES 2 for 8 years now and the line hasn't shown up. The SNES 2 S-Video mod that I posted doesn't restore every component but almost every modern CRT seemed to process the signal without issue so I left it at that.
As part of some general SNES research I am doing, I am trying to catalogue serial codes for SNES items. I've attached an image of the label of NHL 94, with the serial code circled (SNSP-4H-UKV). The serial code on cart labels should be on the bottom left or bottom right part of the label (on Japanese games, they can be pretty much anywhere, though). For manuals, the serial code is on the top right of the front of the manual. For boxes, the serial code is on the small flaps. I would appreciate any serial codes that people can provide!Snes Serial Number Guide
